Progress needs a certain amount of wagering; it does not care about bet size. What bet size changes is variance: the chance you bust before you get there. On Dice at a 90% win chance the multiplier is 1.1x and the swings are small, so a modest bankroll survives $19,000 of turnover. At a 10% win chance the multiplier is 9.9x and the same bankroll can be gone in a hundred bets. Same 1% edge, wildly different risk of ruin. The dice simulator shows this: run 5,000 bets at both settings and compare how often the bankroll survives.
Flat bets. Martingale and other "recovery" systems do not change the expected loss (still 1% of turnover) but they concentrate the risk into a few catastrophic bets, and one of those bets will eventually exceed your bankroll or the table max.
Weekly boosts are calculated on the week's wagering, level and profit or loss, and losing weeks pay more. If the last stretch of a climb is a losing stretch, having it fall inside a single week rather than straddling two Saturday cut-offs tends to be rewarded better. The same logic applies to the monthly bonus and the mid-month payment. This is a small effect and not worth forcing; it is worth knowing when you would otherwise split the wagering across the cut-off for no reason.
Rakeback (3.5% of the house edge) accrues per bet from Bronze. If you registered with an affiliate code, message support with the affiliate's Stake username and it can be switched on before Bronze. On $19,000 of Originals play that is $6.65; on $19,000 of slots it is $26.60. Small, but it is free and it compounds over a long climb.
