Wagered means the total of every bet you have placed, win or lose, in USD-equivalent. Stake calls the units "points" in places; one point is one dollar wagered.
Three rules matter. First, it is wagering, not deposits: $100 bet ten times counts $1,000. Second, sports bets count three times toward VIP progress, so $3,333 of sportsbook turnover moves the bar as far as $10,000 of casino play. Third, the game you play does not change your progress, only your cost. $10,000 through Dice at a 1% house edge and $10,000 through a 96% slot both count $10,000; one is expected to cost you $100, the other $400.
The progress bar on your VIP page shows the percentage between your current level and the next. Worked example: at Gold (from $100,000) with the bar at 30% toward Platinum I ($250,000), the gap is $150,000, so you have wagered $45,000 of it and $105,000 remains.
This is the only reward with a published formula, so it is the one to plan around. Rakeback = wager × house edge × 3.5%. Stake's own example: 1 BTC wagered on a 2% house-edge game returns 0.0007 BTC, whether the bet won or lost. In dollars: $1,000 through a 1% Original returns $0.35; $1,000 through a 4% slot returns $1.40. It accrues per bet and you claim it from the VIP page whenever you like. It starts at Bronze, or from your first bet if you registered with an affiliate code and asked support to enable it.
Stake does not publish the amounts. Figures reported by players in 2026 run roughly $15 at Silver, $50 at Gold, $100 at Platinum I, $200 at Platinum II, $500 at Platinum III and $800 at Platinum IV. Treat them as ballpark; Stake says the amount depends on your level and recent activity.
The weekly boost lands on Saturdays around 12:30 GMT through Stake's Telegram bot; the monthly bonus arrives by email around the 15th for the previous month. Both are calculated from your wagering in the period, your VIP level, your profit or loss and the house edge of what you played. Losing weeks tend to pay more than winning weeks. Nobody outside Stake has the formula, so anyone quoting you an exact percentage is guessing.
A claimable bonus available once every 24 hours, sized from your last 7 to 42 days of play depending on level. Time-limited at Platinum I to III, more or less permanent from Platinum IV.
The honest comparison is rewards received versus expected loss to get there, which is wagering × house edge. To reach Bronze through 1% Originals you expect to lose about $100 and then earn rakeback worth $0.35 per $1,000 going forward. To reach Gold ($100,000) through slots at a 4% edge you expect to lose about $4,000; the level-up bonus reported for Gold is $50. Weekly and monthly bonuses add an unknown but modest amount on top. The ladder rewards volume; it does not turn a losing game into a winning one, and the maths only works in your favour if you were going to place those bets anyway.
The VIP calculator does this arithmetic for your own bet size and game mix, including the sports multiplier.
$10,000 in lifetime wagering, or about $3,333 in sports bets because sportsbook turnover counts three times toward VIP progress.
Bets. Every wager counts its full amount, win or lose. Deposits do not count.
A return of 3.5% of the house edge on every casino bet, credited per bet and claimable from the VIP page at any time. Wager × house edge × 3.5%. It starts at Bronze, or from the first bet with an affiliate code once support enables it.
Saturdays around 12:30 GMT, through Stake's Telegram bot, based on the previous week's play.
Platinum IV, which needs $2.5 million in lifetime wagering.
